Women should wear full-length dresses, skirts, or loose-fitting pants that reach the ankles. Tops and dresses must have sleeves past the elbow. Necklines should be high—no low-cut, off-the-shoulder, or strapless styles. Clothing should be opaque (not sheer) and should fit loosely, without clinging to the body. Women are asked to cover their hair with a headscarf (hijab) while inside the prayer hall during the ceremony. After the ceremony, once we move into the reception areas, wearing the scarf is completely optional. Everyone will be asked to remove their shoes before entering the prayer hall. We recommend wearing shoes that are easy to slip off and bringing socks if desired. If you would like additional guidance, outfit ideas, or store recommendations, please reach out to the bride. A detailed resource guide is available with sample images and shopping tips.
Men are asked to wear a full suit, including long pants, a collared dress shirt, and a tie or bowtie. A sport coat or formal traditional attire is also welcome. Please avoid casual clothing such as shorts, jeans, polos, or sleeveless shirts. Shoes must be removed before entering the prayer hall, so it’s a good idea to wear socks and easy-to-remove shoes for comfort. If you have any questions about appropriate attire, feel free to contact the bride for clarification or additional resources.
