Dahab/Sharm el-Sheikh are both located on the Sinai Peninsula on the coastal strip along the Red Sea. They are about a 6-7 hour drive from Cairo or a one hour flight. If you find yourself with an extra 2-3 days, you should try to make it to one of these beach towns. The Red Sea is breath taking and known for its vibrant sea life.
The North Coast, also known as Sahel, is located along the Mediterranean Sea and is known for its beautiful white sands and turquoise waters. It is about a 3-4 hour drive from Cairo and makes for a great beach getaway if you have some extra time to relax and unwind.
