It’s where Allison landed her first “big girl” job at the beautiful Iowa State Capitol, and where she began building her career. It’s also where Jaden participated in the World Food Prize- Borlaug Dialogue and Laureate Award Ceremony, an experience that shaped his passion and purpose early on.
Des Moines' Downtown Farmers’ Market
One of our favorite weekend traditions was walking together to the Downtown Farmers’ Market — browsing fresh produce, sipping coffee, and soaking up the atmosphere. We're big fans of farmers markets, and Des Moines has one of the very best!
East Village
The East Village is vibrant and full of personality. Jaden even had a part-time job at Purveyor, a local wine store. For the best coffee around, we recommend Daisy Chain — a fun spot where you can grab a perfect cup and soak in the community feel. Stop in to Raygun, a local shop next door to Daisy Chain that has local and midwest- inspired gifts.
