Q + A

Question

When does the haunting begin?

Answer

Join us on Saturday, October 31, 2026 — Halloween night, as it should be. 5pm sharp.

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Please arrive 15–20 minutes early so you have time to find a seat, take in the atmosphere, and prepare for the ritual. A full timeline will be shared as the date draws near.

Question

Are costumes required?

Answer

Technically? No. Spiritually? Yes.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Costumes are highly encouraged. This is a Halloween wedding. We want drama. We want creativity. We want you fully committed to the bit. Spooky, gothic, whimsical, campy, elegant - all are welcome. If you show up in regular wedding attire… Brittany will be disappointed. (Lovingly. But still.)

Question

How will seating work?

Answer

Seating will be open and unassigned. Please sit wherever feels right — mingle, move around, and make yourselves comfortable. This night is meant to feel relaxed, communal, and fun rather than formal.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you refrain from taking photos during the ceremony so everyone can stay present for the moment. Once the reception begins, phones are fair game — and we highly encourage visiting the Polaroid station to leave us a memory.

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

Yes! Children are welcome to join the celebration and costumes are encouraged for all ages.

Question

Will there be food and drinks?

Answer

Yes. Sustenance will be provided. There will be dinner and drinks during the reception with a cocktail hour following the ceremony. Please include any dietary restrictions when you RSVP so we can accommodate where possible.

Question

Will there be dancing?

Answer

Absolutely. Expect good music, joyful chaos, and a dance floor that may or may not turn feral as the night goes on.

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If you're unsure, feel free to reach out before RSVP'ing.

Question

Is there parking nearby?

Answer

Yes. There are several public parking garages and street parking options near the Rathskeller. Downtown + Halloween weekend = arrive early if you can.

Question

Will this be indoors?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony and reception will both take place indoors in the Upper Ballroom. No weather-related scares necessary.

Question

Anything else we should know?

Answer

Come ready to celebrate, lean into the weird, and have fun. This night is about love, community, and choosing joy…with a little spooky flair. If you have any questions we didn’t cover here, don’t hesitate to reach out. We promise not to bite.
