After weeks of watching them play rounds and rounds of monopoly deal, sneak out to Whataburger runs, and decorate Christmas cookies (after Christmas) until 3:00am, their friend decided that it was time to step in because neither of them was about to make the first move. She sent them on a blind date at a restaurant near her home in the event the night turned into a disaster and one of them needed an escape route. To no one’s surprise, it was an incredible evening. (Note: Ahad claims that Ruhee “stormed in” with “all the attitude” and he thought he was “going to die tonight.” This is a lie.) And while they may have ditched the restaurant after appetizers to drive across town for a solid slice of pizza, they knew it was meant to be. Why? Because Ruhee ate bone-in wings on their first date without an ounce of embarrassment. It’s been four memorable, adventure-filled years since that first date. Here’s to a lifetime more!
