Notes on Hotel/Airbnb

We understand if the hotel block at The Troubadour is outside of your budget. It still is the cheapest stay that we've found that isn't a 30+ minute drive away (without traffic). You're welcome to book your own rooms elsewhere, or you can contact Nicole Fairess (Nicolef@wdwgetaways.com) who has graciously volunteered to assist. If you're looking into getting an Airbnb and haven't lived in New Orleans before, please reach out to Liam to ensure that it's in a safe neighborhood!

Travel Note

What is "The Box"?

The Box is a portion of the city that gets blocked off during parade times. Getting into and out of The Box is a traffic nightmare during these times, as there is only one reliable way in and out. If you do book somewhere inside The Box, we recommend either walking outside of The Box and calling an Uber/Lyft from there, or budgeting in additional travel time.
