It was a busy Thursday at Claddagh Pub's "dollar beer" night, when from across the room Sam spotted Tori. On his way over, he mustered up his best pickup line, "Hi, I'm Sam, what's your name?". Tori was impressed with his confidence, and even let him buy her a few dollar beers. At the end of the night when Sam asked for her phone number, Tori told him he could only have it if he promised to use it. Spoiler alert: he did.

A year after they started dating, Tori moved to Washington state for three months for a research project. It was terrible timing, but Sam agreed to fly out when she was done and drive back across country with her to Baltimore. After surviving two weeks in a honda civic, they were pretty sure they could conquer anything. Then in year two, COVID hit. They "moved in" together by quarantining in the same house - that's when they knew it was TRUE love. In 2021, they moved into their first rowhome together, and adopted the furriest, tubbiest cat of all time: Brisket. In the summer of 2022, they purchased their first home in Baltimore city, and soon after adopted their giant, goofy great dane mix: Brewer.

Sam proposed on the roof deck of their house, with their song playing in the background and champagne ready to pop! He then surprised Tori at a restaurant with each of their families and so many good friends. It was the perfect day, and of course, Tori said YES! They gave themselves a year of wedding planning to the day, and are SO excited to celebrate their marriage with all their closest friends and family in the city that they fell in love.
