Where is the wedding?

Answer

The ceremony and reception will be held at Bay View Weddings at Gallagher Farms, just outside Traverse City, MI. After arriving, guests will be shuttled to a hilltop overlook where the ceremony will take place, and after to the outdoor tent for the reception. 8555 E Lincoln Rd Cedar, MI 49621

Where should we stay? When should we book?

Answer

The Traverse City area has numerous hotels and vacation rentals, but they fill up quickly. We recommend booking as soon as able, and looking into Airbnb & VRBO rentals. Please also see the Accommodations page for info about hotel rooms.

What time should we arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving 30 minutes before the ceremony starts to secure parking and find a seat.

What are the closest airports to Traverse City?

Answer

While the largest international airport is Detroit (DTW), guests who are flying in should also look into Grand Rapids (GRR) and Cherry Capital Airport (TVC)

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will both be held outside. The reception will be held in a tent outside as well. Please note that Northern Michigan can be chilly in the evening from the wind off of Lake Michigan.

Can I book an uber/lyft?

Answer

Yes, there are Ubers, however they are limited and do not pick up in some areas. We recommend scheduling Uber pick ups in advance. There are other car services available such as Grand Traverse Rides and Up North Taxi.
