Abbie and Edgar had their first date at a local taco shop. They talked and laughed for over 3 hours on that Tuesday night.
After 5 dates, Edgar FINALLY kissed Abbie. She teases him about how long he waited, but she secretly thought it was really sweet.
They disagree on who asked who, but Abbie and Edgar both concede that this is when they (officially) became a couple.
A trip to Universal Studios turned out to be so much more. Edgar and Abbie were celebrating each other's birthdays together when Edgar pulled her aside under the fireworks/light show and told her, "I love you." Abbie was so excited, she forgot to immediately say it back — almost giving Edgar an unneeded heart attack. She still apologizes to this day for the scare and Edgar won't let her live it down.
Six months down the line, Edgar asked Abbie to move in with him and his son, Autumn. They found a little house in a quiet neighborhood in Northeast Bakersfield.
Abbie and Edgar don't have a big engagement story, but they love it just the same. They were eating lunch at The Tower on a Saturday afternoon and had a mutual moment of clarity. "We should get married."
The couple had planned to get married in late March of 2021, but COVID-19 had other plans! They made the difficult decision to push their big day out another year.
Abbie and Edgar are so excited to finally be getting ready for their big day. They are so grateful to have such wonderful friends and family to join them in celebration!
