We’re Getting Married

Our story began when we were both 14 years old, just starting junior high. I was shy and uncertain, a new kid in a new place. But as time passed, a simple friendship blossomed between us. We shared our hopes, our dreams, and, of course, our crushes. We confided in each other about relationships, both the sweet and the heart-wrenching ones, never imagining that one day, we would be here—celebrating the beginning of forever together. Life, as it often does, led us down different paths. We became neighbors, living just two houses apart. We watched each other grow, both in age and in understanding of love. He was always in relationships, and I, ever the supportive friend, stood by him quietly, unsure of what the future held. And then, something changed. During a friend's debut, he asked me to dance with him. It was a casual request—after all, I didn’t have a boyfriend at the time—but something sparked in that moment. We danced every Tuesday, and with each step, our friendship deepened. But with that closeness came new feelings—feelings that were hard to ignore.
