Aerolyn Shaw and Edrick "Bloo" Woods met in 2008, freshman year at Valdosta State University where they lived in the same dorm. After being introduced by mutual best friend and bridesmaid, Nia Bailey, nothing happened. 😂 However, over the next 7 years they built a strong friendship and were even neighbors for 2 years. Then one night in 2014, Aerolyn crashed Bloo's guys night out with his two best men, Dallas Evans and OJ Patterson. Next thing you know, there was a spark. ✨ They had their first official date on October 15, 2014 and 8 years later they'll be making it even more official by saying "I Do" on October 15, 2022. 🖤

Aerolyn gifted Bloo skydiving vouchers for his 30th birthday and they decided to use them on their 6th anniversary. The morning of, Aerolyn, Bloo and her Maid of Honor, Trenice Chandler, drove up north, conquered their fears and jumped out of a plane. ✈️ Aerolyn suspected nothing even as Bloo and Trenice rushed through lunch both saying they had "plans" that evening. When they made it home, Aerolyn was surprised with Bloo's best man and chef, OJ Patterson, preparing a nice dinner for the couple's anniversary. Aerolyn still suspected nothing as she got ready for dinner and enjoyed a great meal (and two bottles of wine). 🙃 Following dinner, Bloo said 5 words that finally clued Aerolyn in on what was about to happen: "I had a speech planned." After a lot of sweet nothings and tears, she said "yes!" It didn't end there - 12 of the couple's closest friends walked in with champagne and roses and they all celebrated the rest of the night. Best day ever.🥂
