Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! We understand that those traveling from in and out of state might have to bring children, and we totally understand (having 3 kids our selves). If guest is local( with in a hour of the venue), please obtain a childcare provider and have a night out on us! We look forward to seeing our family, and long distance friends (children included). **there is a swing set on site that is privately owned and the owners of the venue request that no children from the wedding/reception are allowed to play on this equipment.** thanks!

Are there Covid Precautions in place?

Answer

We are encouraging everyone to bring masks to our event, and we will provide masks for any guests that would like to use one to increase their protection. The venue has running water, and we will be setting up hand sanitizing stations. The venue hosts work hard to ensure that the venue is cleaned and sanitized in-between events. With these measures along with social distancing practices and limiting the amount of guests, we hope there is no spread of covid 19 from our wedding.

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

The venue is large enough to accommodate the wedding ceremony and the reception so there will be no venue change. We wanted to do something that we love and we thought is unique to the area, therefore we are having a Food Truck provide catering. Menu items include Pulled Pork, Smoked Brisket, Potato salad, coleslaw and baked beans (from the food truck) guests will also have the option to get smaller sides (vegetables, fruit etc) inside the venue. When submitting your RSVP, please indicate whether you have any food allergies that we should know about. As for drinks we will are offering a selection of wines, beers, soft drinks, tea and water. We will have a bartender to serve all drinks at the venue, tips for the bartender are very much appreciated.

Will last names be changing after the wedding?

Great Question! While Henry will not be changing his last name, Aerial will be taking the Surkamp last name
