We are getting married at Minard Castle in Dingle, Ireland (see photo above). This ruin dates back to the 16th century with remnants of two upper and lower level arched ceilings. Left structurally unsound in 1650 after Oliver Cromwell's Army detonated explosives at each corner, the castle still paints Ireland's southern coastal landscape in 2027. The structure is located near a stony beach that leads to the North Atlantic ocean. It will be a "hiking boots, wool, gloves, and umbrellas" type of weather! Stay tuned to see our creatively practical outfits for the small, yet momentous occasion. We plan to have a whiskey unity ceremony and a hand-fasting ceremony at our wedding in Ireland. We chose these two traditions that date back centuries and represent the balance, care, 'give and take' a relationship requires. Aedan is very drawn to the whiskey unity ceremony, a Celtic tradition where the couple blends two different whiskeys together in one vessel as a metaphor for the blending of two lives. Olivia is drawn to the hand-fasting ceremony, a 12th century tradition in which the couple join hands and have them bound together with cord symbolizing unity. Yes, we'll be bringing the cord and whiskey home! We plan to arrive in Ireland on December 2, 2026. After exploring Limerick, we plan to head down to Cork and enjoy the landscape along the way. From Cork, we plan to travel north along the southwestern coast towards Dingle, Ireland where we will have our ceremony on December 10, 2026.

Although we enjoy our alone time, we also want to celebrate with all of you! We thought there would be no better time than New Year's Eve, with our wedding taking place December 10, 2026.
