Our Love Story

Question

Once Upon a Coffee

Answer

Adylene and I met at a coffee shop at Kaiser on October 1st, 2021 called DHC Roasters. But hold on there is more to that story. I had seen her about a year prior to this date but never really took the initiative to talk to her, in fact on October 1st when I saw her at the coffee shop I still didn’t take the initiative to talk to her at least until in the afternoon after I had been thinking about what to say ALL day. I then messaged her on Instagram saying something like “hey did I see you working at Kaiser today” and that started it all. The following week I went to buy coffee and there she was at the register taking orders, thankfully there was a line in front of me so it gave me time to think of what to say, because no matter how confident and outgoing you may be… (when it comes to talking to the girl you know is the most beautiful in the world) yeah it all goes out the window. I then got to the register and talked about Spider-Man out of all topics, but it worked out she was very cool and kept the conversation going which I thought was a good sign. After that day we would text every day and it took 4 months for us to hang out when she invited me to her house for a Super Bowl party. After that weekend there has not been a single weekend we don’t hang out. This led to me telling her I liked her on April 12th, 2022 after a day of mountain biking, then that led to me asking her to be my girlfriend on June 25th, 2022, and then that led to December 30th, 2023 when I asked her to marry me. Thankfully she said yes to all three of those things! But over all this would not be possible without Jehovah's help and guidance, and also the friends and family. So thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey… it is only the beginning.

For all the days along the way
