The day I met Danny(or 007 as I called him all that night) was in June of 2016. He had recently moved to Illinois from Ohio for work. One of my closest friends of about 10 years also worked for the same company and decided to invite him to a party he hosted at his house. The first thing I said after I saw him was "Hey, Brian, who's your cute friend?" I talked to him for a good amount of time throughout the night but didn't pursue him after that. He fit in really well with my group of long-time friends and would hang out with us every now and then. My crush on him never went away but, stubborn as I am, had already decided I was meant to be single for awhile. That lasted until January 2017 when we started messaging/texting regularly when Danny asked me to go out with him after work. I agreed with every intention to bail but as the day grew closer I grew more excited and anxious. After work I couldn't believe that I was actually on my way to meet him at his apartment. Because I was so nervous, as I hadn't gone on a date in a looooong time, I took two shots of Bacardi in my parked car before I phoned to let him know I was there. On Thursday, January 26th, 2017 we had our first date and it was the best and easiest first date I had ever been on. There was no awkward pauses in conversation and we realized that we had A LOT in common. He asked me to be his girlfriend on February 12, 2017. After that I moved in fairly quickly, a little at a time, and his apartment officially became our apartment in June 2017. Within the two years we have been together we have kept extremely busy, visiting about 8 different states, mostly beer or family related haha. January 2019 has brought us the purchase of our new home and on the 26th(two years from our first date) the promise of forever. We are both overjoyed with the families we are marrying into and are grateful for all of their support and welcoming hearts. xoxo, Tan and Dan
