It all began when Elaine and Dom were working at an event in Philadelphia. Dom was deep in the midst of dating woes, and Elaine was a ball of snot on legs. Thanks are due in part to the effects of a head cold, a large dosage of DayQuil, and multiple 5-Hour Energy Drinks for her noticing them across the room working event security. It was through a combination of Dom's black suit, red security armband, and Thor's hammer pendant that Elaine decided to approach and ask very politely if they were a Nazi. Fortunately for everyone, they weren't, and she later asked Dom out on a date. On their first date to Barcade in Fishtown, Dom impressed Elaine in true nerd fashion by placing a high score on the Tetris machine, and Elaine impressed Dom with her sincerity and blunt sense of humor. They kissed for the first time in the moonlight out on the bar's patio. The rest is history.
Elaine and Dom were a match made in Hel (that's a good thing, we promise), and the three years following their first date were filled with joys and adventures, trials and triumphs. Every challenge, they faced head on together and became stronger for it. During the summer of 2017, Dom made the decision that they did indeed like it, and were going to put a ring on it. Easiest choice they ever made. They began working with Elaine's college friend, Calley Sanchez, to make a ring that would be perfect for her. There were some rocky moments when Elaine mentioned casually while making the bed that she hated purple and red together, and Dom scrambled to ask Calley to change the rubies to emeralds, but in the end the perfect engagement ring was made. Then all that was left was to wait. The two were planning to attend a yearly camping event with a lot of people, and Dom sneakily informed all of their friends of the Big Moment. Meanwhile, Elaine enjoyed their trip blessedly oblivious to what was to come. As they sat down in a tent following lunch on Saturday, Elaine remarked "that's weird, all of our friends are here." It was just before 2 o'clock that Dom turned to Elaine and said "we have been together for three years, one month, and four days, and it is now 1:59 PM. Know what that means?" "It means you're a nerd," she said affectionately. "Would you like to marry this nerd?" they said in return, and took a knee. Turns out the answer was yes.
