Whatever makes you feel dolled up and handsome! Whether you take this as an opportunity to go full-on glam or just spiff things up with a clean button-down and your nice boots, we’re here for it. Practically speaking, we recommend wearing shoes you’ll be comfortable walking on grass in (chunky heels tend to work better than stilettos) and bringing something for a California summer evening outdoors (shawls can be helpful once the sun goes down). If you're dressing up a small child -- best of luck to you. If you can get them to arrive with two shoes and mostly clothed then you will have succeeded.
Yes, kids are welcome! Please be aware we will be in a relatively open space and there will be alcohol freely available so you may have a better time if you make alternative plans for free-running and liquor-seeking children.
We’ve been together for over 8 years, sharing plenty of adventures—including countless trips to charming kitchen stores and treasure hunting at thrift shops. At this point, our home is already full of things we love, so there’s really nothing we still need! Since we’re getting married over 1,000 miles from home, suitcase space will be very limited, and transporting anything that can’t be squeezed into an already full bag just isn’t possible. That said, we are currently working on some home renovations, and Adrienne will also be starting her doctorate program in physical therapy this fall—both incredibly exciting (and a little expensive!). If you’d like to help send us off into married life, we’ve set up a contribution option that works for any budget, allowing you to give any amount you’d like. Checks are easiest for us (to avoid processing fees), but you can also contribute by credit or debit card right here on this site under our “Registry.”
Us too! We understand that not everyone always has the option to fully enjoy the food at events, so we’re doing our best to offer options that work for a variety of dietary needs. As we plan the menu, we’re keeping dairy-free, vegetarian, and vegan diets in mind. If that last sentence scared any omnivores—don’t worry! There will still be plenty of cheese and meat as well. While we expect to have some gluten-free options available, we unfortunately can’t guarantee that the food will be safe for those with celiac disease, as we’re planning a more free-grazing and buffet-style setup.
