FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding celebrates an Indian fusion of both our traditions, and we'd love for you to embrace that spirit through your attire. Please wear traditional Indian wedding clothing or Western formal wear—think elegant dresses or tailored suits. We encourage you to go bold with bright colors, intricate embroidery, and beautiful embellishments. Don't hold back; you won't outshine us, we promise! Since we're celebrating in San Francisco, we recommend bringing layers, as the evening can get chilly. We're dressing formally for this celebration, and we hope you will too.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, we are happy to accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions! Please ensure you let us know in advance. Dinner will be family style, so please let us know when you RSVP if there are any specific requests we need to share with the restaurant.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accommodate all our beloved guests, only those explicitly named on your invitation are included. Thank you for understanding!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start at 3:00. Please arrive at least 20 minutes early to get parking, make your way through security and get up to the fourth floor. Sonia our officiant will be there to greet and guide you to the space.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that guests do not take photos during the event. We have professional photographers to capture every moment so we can unplug and enjoy!

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking available at the SFMTA Civic center garage. Parking and driving in SF can be challenging so we encourage all guests to take advantage of public transportation, ride share options or driverless cars. The ceremony venue is BART and muni accessible via the UN Plaza/Civic Center Station. The dinner location Copra is also near a SFMTA Parking lot, as well as accessible via public transportation or ride share. It is about a 15 minute drive, and 25 minute muni and bart ride. Afterparty will be accessible via Muni or ride share. Parking is very limited and you will hopefully be inebriated, so join the bride and groom on Muni to get there safely and with a bit more adventure :) SFMTA Parking lots do close between 10pm and midnight, so plan in advance, leave your car at the hotel, and check the hours before you go.
