Things To Do

Otter Springs is a beautiful spring for swimming. Bring your bathing suit--the spring is 72-degrees year round. Here are some other things to do nearby!
Weeki Wachee Springs State Park

Weeki Wachee Springs State Park

6131 Commercial Way, Spring Hill, FL 34606
, (352) 592-5656

Want to swim in cool blue springs and watch mermaids eat a banana under water? You're closer than you think! About an hour and a half from Otter Springs is Weeki Wachee, where mermaids hang out.

Nature Coast State Trail

Nature Coast State Trail

Trenton Trail Head, Trenton, FL 32693

Nature Coast State Trail is a 31.7-mile hiking and biking path (paved) built over old railroad tracks. It consists of two primary alignments built along abandoned rail lines that intersect at Wilcox Junction, connecting the communities of Cross City, Trenton, Fanning Springs and Chiefland. Near Otter Springs, the path crosses over the Suwannee on an old train trestle, offering a spectacular view. Bring some walking shoes (or a bike) and explore!

Fanning Springs State Park

18020 U.S. 19, Fanning Springs, FL 32693
, (352) 463-3420

Fanning Springs is a second magnitude spring, pumping out 65 million gallons of water daily. It's nearby and a bit larger if you want to Spring hop!
