Celebrating Forever

Adrienne and Austin met while attending a multi-week fitness retreat. While on the farm, our competitive nature drove us to push each other in the workout classes, but the bond we shared wouldn't stop there. Soon we were spending all of our free time going on drives, sharing our favorite movies, and playing games late into the night. Our first official date, on May 23rd 2021, took us into Nashville for Hot Chicken and rooftop drinks and a night of raucous laughter. By the time Adrienne had to fly home to Sacramento, we were sharing tear-soaked "see-you-soons" at the airport instead of goodbyes.

In August of 2021, Austin flew out to Sacramento to see Adrienne for the first time since the farm and go on a trip down to LA. Both of us had butterflies the whole day leading up to the encounter- would the connection still be there? It became quite obvious that we were nervous to see each other when little was said in the first five minutes of the drive to LA, but that soon changed as we relaxed and started singing our favorite songs at the top of our lungs for the rest of the ride! While in LA, we hatched a plan: in November, Austin would fly back to Sacramento and drive Adrienne cross-country to Atlanta to practice living together. The trial run was a success, and soon Austin headed back to Boston with Adrienne in tow to finish up at MIT. By our first date anniversary, Austin knew it was meant to be forever and proposed early in the morning and Adrienne said "Yes!" starting off a wonderful day. The next two years were a whirlwind rollercoaster of experiences, but after Austin graduated in February of 2024 we decided to move back to Atlanta to start searching for a job and a long term home.

After an exciting wedding day at the courthouse, our eyes have looked forward to the horizons that await. Right before the wedding, Adrienne got an offer to become a Dog Groomer at The Dog House Pet Resort in Acworth, GA. Adrienne started this new endeavor right after Memorial Day and will be working towards professional certifications as a groomer from the AKC. Then a few days later, Austin signed his final offer with Origami Risk and will have his first day on June 24th. With both of us gainfully employed, we are now looking to buy and move into a new house by early next year! While the future is never certain, we are excited to be by each others side every step of the way.
