Nick and I met last year in August(ish) at our job. I was a care manager at Bethesda Gardens. The company he was working for was doing the remodeling at my job. I cant say I remember the cery first time we ever saw each other but I can say I remember the first time he ever approached me. I was in a hurry (which was a usual thing for me at work at the time) and was coming around the corner heading to a residents room when he stopped me asking me if he could “be unprofessional for a minute.” I said “sure” and kept on walking. He said “i just have to tell you you’re the most gorgeous woman i’ve ever seen.” Quickly, I said “thanks” and kept walking. No time for small talk. The next day, he does the same thing, he stops me in the hallway, this time asking me for a piece of paper. I didnt think anything of it, so I handed him paper and kept walking. He said “hold on.” So i turned around. He handed me my paper back. I looked at it and it had his number on it. For 3 days after that, he kept asking me when I was going to tect him. I finally did. Slowly we started getting to know each other. But I was still unsure on my end. So to say we had a perfect beginning would be a lie. We had a rough first few months but then, out of nowhere, it clicked with me, I loved him. It was crazy. As if a light bulb instantly turned on everything made since. Since then its been a rollar coaster of milestones made. We’ve accomplished a lot together. We’ve soared over many hurdles together. But together, weve made it through the year. Love is tough! Love is work! Anyone that has been together for any amount of time will tell you that love is tough! But when you love someone, being together and going through those things together is what makes you stronger! So here’s to a lifetime of many more hurdles, laughs and memories made.
