Belém Tower
Lovely place to walk around to relax and enjoy the view of Belem Tower.
Albufeira
Albufeira's beaches are the main attraction for most visitors. Immediately in front of the Old Town, is Praia dos Pescadores (Fisherman’s Beach). Wide and sandy, with some interesting rock formations, this beach can get pretty crowded in peak season.
Praça do Comércio
One of the biggest squares in Europe, this stylish area in downtown Lisbon often displays beautiful works of art and sculpture, and is a great place for a leisurely stroll.
Jerónimos Monastery
Most admiring ornate & architectural marvel of the yester centuries! Entry to the church is free but to the monastery, a ticket has to be purchased.
The Bica Funicular (Ascensor Da Bica)
One of Lisbon's popular-historical transportation! If you don't want to ride the elevador for around 3€, there's a stairway on the left side of the entrance and from there you can see it coming up and down.
Park and National Palace of Pena
This place is straight out from a fairy tale. Such wonderful architecture and rich colors. It's breath-taking. A must visit. Buy your ticket online it's cheaper, get there early as possible to avoid long lines. Be prepared to walk a lot about 20 minutes up to the palace.
Castelo dos Mouros
Fantastic historical site. Alot of climbing. Gooď footwear recommended. Scenic heights and panaromic view of sintra below.
Quinta Da Regaleira
The entire place is like a fairytale - you can easily transcend in time and imagine the last people living around.
Boca do Inferno
This is considered the most extreme point of the European continent. The beginning of the Atlantic Ocean.
Cabo da Roca
Cabo da Roca was known to the Romans as Promontorium Magnum. westernmost point of mainland Europe. Beautiful place to visit, the view is breathtaking.
Cascais
A day trip to Cascais is the best way to soak up the sun and enjoy the beautiful beach/ocean views, it is just a short train ride from Lisbon, Portugal. There's lots of shops and restaurants, it is a great place to stroll around and just relax.
Old downtown Sintra
The magnificent town of Sintra is a beautiful village with subsequent filtered views of fascinating mansions, castles and fairy tale style palaces. Many, which seem to emerge in between the gaps of quaint old buildings while you walk these ancient cobblestone streets and alleyways. There's lots of stores with the usual cork and ceramic touristy items. Nice restaurants, bakeries and cafes around the quarter too . Worth a wander! The hotels in Sintra that I recommended in STAYS are within 15 minutes walking distance to this main tourist area.
Óbidos Village
The Obidos, a picturesque medieval village, is well worth visiting and strolling around for a couple of hours. It is a fortified city that is best known for its cherry liquor with chocolate. The village is well equipped for visitors and there is a good range of shops with souvenirs, wine, cafes and restaurants, all with reasonable prices.
