We love spending time at Zilker Park with our dogs whenever we’re in town! We usually grab something to eat or drink and enjoy the sunshine while we hang out in the park. There are also plenty of great trails to explore nearby, including the Lady Bird Lake Trail. The weather is beautiful in the fall, so we definitely recommend checking out the parks and trails in the area!
We’re total foodies, and Austin has some of the best restaurants in Texas. Here are a few of our favorites: BBQ: Terry Black’s, Franklin Barbecue, La Barbecue, & Interstellar BBQ Pizza: Allday Pizza (our fav), Home Slice Pizza, Pinthouse Pizza, & Loud Mouth Breakfast Tacos: Juan in a Million & Veracruz All Natural Lunch Favorites: Local Foods, Paper Boy, & Two hands Dinner Favorites: Ski Shores Cafe (also has the best view in town), Sammy’s, Clark’s Oyster Bar, Suerte, Birdie’s, and so many more!
Whenever we’re in Austin, we love wandering down South Congress. There are tons of charming shops, great places to browse, and even spots to pick up some cowboy boots or a hat. It’s also one of the best places for people-watching—just grab a drink, find a table, and enjoy the atmosphere!
