Adriel and Hazzel first met at a church service through a mutual friend. After that day, Adriel wanted to get to know her more, even though she went to a different church. He eventually asked their mutual friend for her social media, and not long after, Hazzel reacted to one of his posts. That small interaction turned into conversations about music, favorite shows, and everyday life. During one of those chats, Hazzel shared her number to send Adriel her jazz playlist, and they kept in touch from there. Adriel later asked her to grab coffee, but she wasn’t interested at the time. A few weeks passed before they reconnected at a worship night, where Adriel mentioned the Bible college he planned to attend. Coincidentally, Hazzel had been considering the same school to pursue worship ministry. By August 2021, they both ended up at Free Chapel College OC. They didn’t talk much at first, but that changed in late October when Hazzel asked Adriel to go Halloween costume shopping. After hanging out more often, their friendship grew naturally. On November 10, 2021, Adriel asked Hazzel to be his girlfriend — and that’s where their story together began.
