FAQs

Question

What does “Black Tie Optional – Glam Encouraged” mean?

Answer

Think formal, elevated, and unapologetically glamorous. Black Tie Optional means tuxedos or dark suits for men, and floor-length evening gowns for women. While tuxedos are welcome, a beautifully tailored suit is perfectly appropriate. The “glam encouraged” part simply means we’d love for guests to lean into the fun of the occasion. Feel free to embrace dramatic silhouettes, bold colors, elegant fabrics, statement accessories, or structural designs. This is a celebration, and we would love for everyone to look and feel their most glamorous. If you’ve been waiting for the perfect excuse to wear something a little extra, this is it. And for anyone wondering—you will not outshine the bride. Please don’t hold back on bringing the drama. The only request: please avoid wearing white or ivory, so the bride can have that color to herself.

Question

Will all wedding day events take place at the same location?

Answer

Yes. The ceremony and reception will be held at the Harold Pratt House.

Question

Are all of the wedding events required to attend?

Answer

Not at all. All events are optional, and guests are welcome to attend whichever celebrations fit their schedules. We are simply grateful to celebrate with you in any way you’re able to join.

Question

Do I need to bring a mask?

Answer

No, the mask is optional and will be worn during Hora Loca.

Question

What is “Hora Loca”?

Answer

“Hora Loca” — Spanish for “the crazy hour” — is a Venezuelan wedding tradition that marks the moment when the celebration reaches its peak. Late in the evening, the music shifts, the energy lifts, and the dance floor becomes a little more uninhibited. Because the bride is Venezuelan, we’re including Hora Loca as a small homage to her culture and the joyful spirit of Venezuelan celebrations. Arepas will be served. For our version, guests are invited to embrace their wilder side. Masks are encouraged — mysterious, playful, or a little untamed — and the idea is simple: leave your inhibitions behind, tap into your inner spirit (or spirit animal), and dance freely.
