Maranda McMahan

Maid of Honor

Maranda and I have known each other for a long time now. We became friends in high school and haven't looked back since. In high school we did everything together from going to lunch to planning out our weekends. Even today we still talk nonstop. I love that I can tell her anything and no matter what she doesn't judge me. I know I can count on Maranda to be there for me no matter what. Maranda works at Farm Supply in San Luis Obispo. Fun fact about Maranda is she loves "Trash Pandas", for everyone else that is a raccoon.

Julia Krok

Julia and I have been friends since middle school. We stayed friends through high school, where we were cheerleaders all four years together. We were even lucky enough to be in the same stunt group together; Stephanie was one of the bases, Julia was our flyer and I was the backspot. Even after graduation we have stayed close. Julia is now attending U.C. Davis for a degree in Engineering.

Andrea Rodriguez

Andrea aka Andy and I have been friends since we were little girls. When we met during youth cheer. We not only cheered together in high school but we also played softball together. Andy also got the chance to fly to New York and cheer in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade along with Stephanie and I. Now a days Andy is attending college in U.C. Santa Barbara.

Stephanie Sweeny

Stephanie aka Jeff (inside joke) and I have been friends for a very, very long time. We became friends in T-ball. We cheered together in High school and were in the same stunt group. Stephanie also got the opportunity to go to New York and cheer in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade. Stephanie graduated from SFSU this spring with a Bachelors degree in Interior Design. GO JEFF!

Suzanne Belton

Suzanne aka Suzie and I met when I ran for Miss California Mid State Fair Queen. She was another contestant and won first runner up. Suzie and I became great friends after spending time with each other during pageant events. We were even lucky enough for our boyfriend's to hit it off. Suzie and I still to this day reminisce about those hot days walking around the fair. Suzie is a dance teacher at Aim and attends Cuesta College. Suzie is dating Luke Kies, who is one of Derek's groomsmen.

Michaela Shong

Michaela aka Kaila is Derek's little sister. Kaila just graduated high school this year and is attending her first semester at Cuesta College. We have been tight since day one. She is the little sister I never had, I am so happy to officially be her sister in law. She is such a smart and funny girl. No matter what she always has a joke or sarcastic remark ready at hand to make me laugh till I cry.

Brecken Ancheta

Brecken and I work together at Twin Cities Community Hospital in the Laboratory where she is a Clinical Laboratory Scientist. We first bonded when she was still working nights at the hospital with me. In August Brecken and her husband Brandon will be expecting their first child. We are so excited to find out whether the baby is a boy or girl. I can always count on Brecken to be there for me and for her to have great advice. She is also unafraid to bust out in song and dance.

Sierra Simmons

Sierra and I work together at Twin Cities Community Hospital in the Laboratory along with Brecken. Sierra is a fellow Phlebotomist, we first connected when I was training her on nights. Sierra is that friend who you go to if you have a question. She is a book of knowledge, every day she surprises me with how smart she is. I know I can count on her to make me laugh and to have a good time. Whether it be singing in the Lab or dancing in the bathroom of a bar, Sierra rocks.

Tara Covell

Tara and I have been friends through 4-H for as long as I can remember. We reconnected a couple years ago when she started dating Derek's Best-man, Wyatt. Wyatt and Tara will be getting married on August 17 of this year. Congrats you two!! Tara owns and operates Covell's Clydesdales out of Cambria. Tara is such a hard working go getter. But don't get me wrong, no one can get down like Tara! You can count on her to put on a mini concert no matter the place or time.

Cammie Tatham

Cammie and I met in High School when we showed heifers together at the California Mid State Fair. Cammie attended Coast Union High School in Cambria and now is attending school to become a Nurse in San Diego. Cammie has a very genuine and kind personality. She lights up a room as soon as she walks in. If you are ever feeling down, you can count on Cammie's killer dance moves to put a smile on your face. Cammie, you truly are the world’s best worst dancer out there.

Wyatt Key

Wyatt and I became friends during welding class at Cuesta. We had the same style truck so it was hard to not talk to him about our trucks. Wyatt has his own welding and fabrication business, “Hill Top Welding”. Wyatt might just be the nicest person I know. He genuinely cares about the wellness of others. Thank you Wyatt for being my best friend, and my best man.

Sean and I first met at Cuesta College when we took a welding class together. I honestly can say Sean is one of my best friends. I can always count on him for a good time. Sean is always up for a hunting trip or off-roading adventure. He is also always willing to help anyone. Thank you Sean for everything you have done for me.

Zack and I first became friends in welding. My favorite thing about Zack is his loud fun personality. Zack’s laugh is one that you can’t help but join in with. Zack is always ready to crack a joke no matter where we are. He is also good at speaking his mind. Thank you Zack for all the great times.

Brandon McMahan

I first met Brandon when he started dating Maranda, Aj’s best friend and Tyler’s sister. I had the opportunity to be the best man in his wedding and it really meant a lot to me. He is that friend you can always depend on No matter what he will be there for you. We have shared many nights fishing and many weekends camping. Here is to more memories Brandon.

Luke Kies

I met Luke through Aj when she won Miss California Mid State Fair Queen. One of the Princesses was Suzie, and at the time Luke and Suzie were “just friends”. But I was introduced to her “best guy friend” Luke who turned out to be pretty okay. Also he turned out to be more than “just her friend”, as they are now dating. Luke owns L. Kies trucking out of Paso Robles. I can always count of Luke to make me laugh so hard my stomachs hurts.

Zach Shong

Zach is my cousin and one of my best friends growing up. Growing up he was more like the older brother I never had. Zach is such a warm and welcoming person. No matter who you are he makes you feel like you are important. Zach takes time out of his own life to spend a little in yours. Zach thank you for being such a great cousin.

Matthew Evans

Matt is Aj’s oldest brother. I remember when I first met Matt I was a little nervous to be meeting the brother of my girlfriend. He instantly made me feel like one of the family. Matt knows how to have a good time and wants everyone around him to also have a good time. Thank you Matt for not killing me when we first met.

Boden Reaber

Boden is Aj’s stepbrother but I have known him much longer than that. Boden is a very kind person. He might seem quiet and shy but this kid isn’t. He has such a fun loving personality. Boden is always down for a day out quading. Boden is attending college to be a park ranger, go get em' Boden.

Keith Evans

Keith is Aj’s middle brother. In the beginning of our relationship Keith was in the Marines and was stationed over seas. When Keith would come home for liberties we would all get together for family BBQs. Keith has always treated me like another brother. He has such an energetic personality. He is always willing to have a day out fishing or a trip to the golf course.

Cru is one of Aj’s stepbrothers but we have been friends since middle school. We used to play baseball together through middle school and high school. Cru is that guy that always puts on a show when he gets on a quad or dirtbike. Cru is a great guy that will always fight for the right thing. You can always depend on Cru to make you laugh.

Tyler Meador

Tyler and I became friends sophomore year of High School. We went night fishing and rode our three wheelers all the time. Tyler is one of those friends you go to when you want to hear the truth. I like how Tyler speaks his mind and knows what he wants. I am honored to have him officiating our wedding, it really does mean a lot to both AJ and I.
