We first met in Spanish class our freshman year at Franklin & Marshall College, when Saaman infamously forgot Adrianna's name, called her Alejandra in front of the whole class, and got yelled at by our professor. As you can imagine, sparks hadn't flown at that point, but the next year we were paired as resident advisors on the same dorm hall. Saaman was horrified thinking Adrianna would remember and hate him, but instead we became close immediately and spent that year dealing with drunk residents, cooking on a panini press in our rooms, and confusing friends and families when we talked about each other. The fall of junior year, it finally occurred to us (with the help of the same friends and family members) to be more than friends. Seven years later, we're so excited to celebrate our wedding in the city where we met!

After college, Saaman spent a year doing research at the University of Iowa and Adrianna started working remotely at HubSpot. We spent that year in Iowa mostly inside (Covid and cold weather) playing video games, watching movies, and baking pizza and cinnamon rolls. In 2021, we moved to Huntington, WV where Saaman attends medical school at Marshall University and Adrianna works from home. During this time, Saaman has spent many hours studying and taken lots of tests, Adrianna has cooked hundreds of meals and run 3 half marathons and one full marathon, plus we adopted our dog, Iris. We got engaged August 2023 in a beautifully disorganized proposal at the Greenbrier Sporting Club in White Sulphur Springs, WV. In 2025, Saaman graduates medical school and starts his neurosurgery residency.
