Aeropuerto Intercontinental de Queretaro (QRO)

Aeropuerto Intercontinental de Queretaro (QRO) is recommended for convenience. Flights to this airport are limited and may require a connecting flight. Travel from QRO to the main hotel(s)/city center is a 30 minute Uber ride. Unless planning for a longer trip in town, a car rental is not necessary, as all events will be held in the very safe and walkable city center (where parking is limited), or have transportation provided.

Mexico City International Airport (MEX)

Much larger airport with many flight options and direct flights. Flying to CDMX will require a rental car for the 2.5 hour drive (more depending on stops, traffic, and tolls). The drive is safe, however, it's best to do it in the daylight, as roads can be poorly lit and businesses/restaurants close early in the small towns on the way. Have Mexican currency on hand for tolls. Money exchange houses can be found at the airport (near the car rentals) immediately upon exiting. Street parking and parking garages are available in Santiago de Queretaro's city center.

If you choose to stay elsewhere, we recommend staying in Centro Historico, where everything is highly walkable, all pre-wedding events will be held, and where day-of transportation will pick-up/drop-off. Uber is readily available and safe for longer distances, or if your feet can't handle any more walking.
