Train from Barcelona Airport to Tarragona

Another option is to take the train from the airport to Tarragona, from R2 Nord to Estació Sants (Barcelona Sants). If you arrive at Terminal 1 (T1) you will not be able to walk directly to the train station, as it is 4 km away. You will have to take a shuttle bus outside the terminal. At Estació Sants you will have to change. There are a large number of trains running from Estació Sants to Tarragona, approximately four every hour. The train you will catch has no particular name, as several trains travel through Tarragona, including Catalunya Expres, Regional Expres, Mare Nostrum, Alaris, Talgo and Euromed. The journey takes between approximately 1 - 1.5 hours.
