It all began on what seemed like just another ordinary day in nursing school. We had been in the same class for weeks, walking past each other without even realizing it. Then one day, it finally clicked we were in the same room all along. We still laugh about how we both insist we weren’t flirting in those early conversations… but deep down, we both know we were. Our first date was at a rooftop restaurant in downtown Orlando, and from that very night, something felt different. I knew Adrian was someone special, something about the way he carried himself, the way he spoke, and the way he made me feel I knew my life had just shifted. From that night on, I couldn’t stop thinking about him. We texted nonstop, our conversations flowing as though we had known each other for years. Adrian planned our second date at a Christmas candlelight service at church a moment that anchored us both in faith and reminded us that God’s hand was guiding every step of our story. Soon after, we celebrated New Year’s Eve side by side, welcoming a fresh start together. Life kept intertwining our paths through the challenges of nursing school, hospital internships, late-night studying, and supporting each other on. Somewhere along the way, we found joy in working out together, and yes, I introduced Adrian to cycling (which we’re now both obsessed with!). Fitness and health became another passion we shared, adding yet another layer to our bond. If someone had told us back then that we’d be engaged and preparing for marriage in 2025, we wouldn’t have believed it. But that’s the beauty of God’s plan it’s always better than our own. He brought two young people who were on fire for Him together, and in His timing, he has been writing the most beautiful love story ever since. Now, as we prepare to say “I do” and step into the covenant of marriage, we look back and we are in awe of how beautifully He has written our story. Our story is living proof that God’s timing is perfect, His love is faithful, and His blessings are greater than anything we could have dreamed.
