Be in your seat by 6 p.m. at the latest, but the earlier the better. There is only one entrance into the room, and the wedding party needs it to walk in at 6 p.m.
You can drive to Canlis, but they have mandatory valet parking. In addition, if you plan on drinking, please be safe and use a rideshare service instead. The after-party is in the heart of Pike's Place Market, with notoriously bad street parking and a bunch of garages. Save yourself the headache and use a rideshare service.
Talk to your waiter the night of the wedding. They will adjust the dishes to suit your dietary needs. We have already given them the names/dietary restrictions of our guests, and they are confident they will be able to accommodate them.
Yes. All guests when they are not eating, drinking, or taking pictures with the wedding party should wear a mask indoors as much as is reasonably possible. Our guest count is just 50, and there are many that are 65 and above. We intentionally want to give everyone ample space to move about and social distance as necessary when they are not sitting for the formal dinner. We know this is annoying, but we are trying to do everything we can to keep our most at-risk guests safe.
Don't come. You're great, but don't come. We will send you pictures and let you know how it was. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/symptoms-testing/symptoms.html
Yes. Some, not all, restaurants with indoor dining require vaccination cards at the door along with a photo ID. Our wedding venue, Canlis, strongly encourages all of their guests to be vaccinated although they have not made it a formal requirement as of yet. In any case, bring your vaccination card just to be safe. We will update the wedding website FAQs if that changes.
The after-party venue has multiple windows and an outdoor patio for ventilation. The cake will be brought out at the last minute. This is because the bride is a germaphobe. That last note isn't really about COVID, but you know, germs in general.
