How our love story began

From Washington to Tenneesee

We met in July 2024 when I was visiting a friend in Tennessee. Adrian had just moved to Nashville three weeks earlier and was still getting to know the city. We both happened to join Bumble around the same time, simply to see what was out there, and somehow, we found each other, clearly guided by something greater than chance. Our first date was at a small coffee shop, and from the moment we sat down, we instantly clicked. Even after I returned home to Washington, we stayed closely connected, spending hours on calls and FaceTime. During those months apart, our relationship was rooted in faith; we prayed together, spent time in Bible study over FaceTime, and sought God’s guidance as we grew closer. A month later, I planned another trip to Tennessee for my birthday, and the moment I saw him again, I knew I was going to marry him. My friends all thought I was crazy because it was so new, but I had prayed for my future husband, and in my heart, I knew God had answered that prayer. Not long after, I visited Tennessee again, and on December 12th, Adrian asked me to be his girlfriend. Shortly after that, he came to visit me for his birthday in Leavenworth, where we first said “I love you.” After months of long distance, countless calls, Bible studies, prayers, and growing certainty, I made the move to Tennessee in March 2025 to be closer to him and finally experience our relationship in person. On December 13th, Adrian took me to Normandy Lake in Tennessee, and in that quiet, beautiful moment, surrounded by God’s creation, he asked me to marry him.
