Match, eHarmony, Coffee Meets Bagel, set ups through friends, meeting at work (Cara's bad idea), joining various activities hoping to meet the one then finally trying the dating app Bumble... after what felt like swiping left and right 4,500 times we matched. He invited her on a "sunset beach cruise." She politely declined thinking a beach cruise was on a boat, only later learning it was a bike ride. She convinced him to meet her for coffee because coffee could be quick if it wasn't going well. Luckily things went well! Coffee turned into a walk down the HB pier then to the farmers market and finally ending with dinner. She thought he was funny and handsome. He was charmed. Three days later they went on their second date, a sunset beach cruise.
During our ski trip in Switzerland Adrian surprised me and proposed. We had talked about waiting until after our baby was born to even think about getting married, so I did not see it coming. We were having drinks (Fanta for me thanks to pregnancy) between ski runs and Adrian casually started talking about our life and the future. He asked me "Can you see yourself doing this with me forever?" I replied, "Ski here annually?" and then I look to my right to see him down on one knee. It was then that I better understood his actual question. I can’t remember what he said after that, but I remember feeling so excited, shocked and happy! I obviously said yes!
