It all started Spring of 2023 when we met at a party. We were commingling in a group, making eyes and awkward small talk when our soon-to-be mutual friend David bluntly (shocking) stated we should go off and get to know each other. We made our way off to a quiet corner where Adrian used his now infamous pickup line, "you have nice teeth." Flattery apparently works very well on Brandon. We spent the Summer & Fall getting to know one another gradually between concerts, street festivals, and beach days. Cut to December 2023. We lingered after an evening with friends at Bobby Love's. Someone began to sing "One More Try" by George Michael (*Keep in mind this was a karaoke bar, and thankfully the individual was a talented singer), and we slow danced. At the end of the song we stepped outside. While waiting for a cab in the snow, we looked at one another and we both knew this was something special. Cut to Fall of 2024. After a long night out in Berlin (we apparently still thought we were in our 20's), we wandered the streets looking for some breakfast. We came upon a quaint Indian restaurant and ordered breakfast naan (didn't know that was a thing!). Brandon made a comment, harkening back to that night at Bobby Love's, that he could see the couple spending the rest of their lives together. Adrian, glassy-eyed, showed Brandon his phone at that moment, where a confirmation email had recently come through stating engagement rings were finished and ready for pickup.
