How do you know the groom? *We've been friends since college What is a funny story with the groom? *Adrian is the kind of guy who can turn any normal plan into an adventure. One night, we were supposed to stay in to hang with friends, but instead we set off on our own “tour” of Flushing NYC, wandering construction sites, exploring questionable spots, and at one point, casually jogging away from a very serious security guard. We made it back acting completely normal while everyone kept asking what we got into. That’s Adrian though. Spontaneous, fearless, and always turning an ordinary night into a story you’ll never forget. What are you most looking forward to at the wedding? *Getting to finally meet all the people who have been part of Adrian and Alli’s lives while I’ve been hearing about them from a distance. How do you know the groom? *HE MY BLOOD BROTHA What is a funny story with the bride and/or groom? *One time Adrian was on the computer playing Runescape and it was raining out. So we had this creepy angel doll that we threw out weeks prior and it had been sitting outside the entire time. So I decided, Ohh let me go get it. Now imagine an angel doll except it's been in the crappy weather and now has black stains coming from her eyes and is all messed up. So I take it, place it by the stairs, and call Adrian to come down. He comes RUNNING. And then starts SCREAMING. Sees that doll and bounces to my parent's bathroom or bedroom (I don't remember), but Dad went to go check on him and he was in the corner shaking and crying. Maybe that was a messed up thing to do. But we laugh about it now! What is something most people don't know about the groom? *Pretty sure a rocket was shot at him pretty close. How do you know the bride and/or groom? *Sister to the groom, sister in law to the bride 🤭 What is something most people don't know about the groom? *My mom used to straighten Adrian (and Marco's) hair before school during their emo phase 😭 What are you most looking forward to at the wedding? *Being with everyone we love for a full weekend (esp. being able to go out at night with all the siblings, cousins & friends)! How do you know the bride? *All four years of college! What is a funny story with the bride? *My freshman roommate got both mono and pneumonia during finals week. Alli, who had a single room, offered for me to stay with her to get away from the illness. So for a few days, I slept under Alli's bed on a blowup mattress - a little Harry Potter-esque, but cozier. Ironically, a year later when Alli was sick, she would nap on my apartment couch until I came back from class. Then we'd watch Love Island all evening before she trekked the final 200 feet to her apartment. What is something most people don't know about the bride? *Alli is the biggest softie. Although she likes to present as tough, she's a deeply sentimental person at heart. Junior year, we spent a lot of time watching Lucifer on Netflix. At one pivotal moment, we both looked over at each other and just started sobbing and couldn't get a hold of ourselves. Big 'ole crocodile tears. That’s Alli. She feels everything deeply. She loves fiercely, shows up without hesitation, and cares in a way that’s quiet but powerful. She’ll absolutely call you out if you need it, but she’ll also be the first person to sit with you and help you through whatever it is. Fun Fact: I love all forms of potatoes, except for fries! How do you know the bride and/or groom? *College at Wake Forest! What is a funny story with the bride? *Freshman year of college, Alli's kombucha froze and exploded in her tiny dorm mini fridge and we had to clean it out of a shag rug 🥲 We also fostered itty bitty kittens with upper respiratory infections during COVID online classes and named them after Euphoria characters! And then found out our “Jules” was actually a Julian!! What is something most people don't know about the bride? *Most people don’t know that Alli loves handwritten letters as much as she does! I would also think most people don't know how much black Lululemon and Athleta clothing she has — could fill 4 drying racks at least!!!! Fun Fact: I have tried over 100 flavors of ice cream! How do you know the bride? *The bride is great, but I really wasn't given a choice... What is a funny story with the bride? *The bride posits unfounded, slanderous accusations that I set her on fire decades ago on a family camping trip. This is clearly libel, slander, and unprompted character assassination! The holes that ended up in her sweater are from something else that I, of course, have no knowledge of... What is something most people don't know about the bride and/or groom? *They started dating when Alli messaged Adrian her phone number at work, then logged out and immediately ran away so she couldn't see his response. They also get things out of tall cabinets with a circus routine similar to "two toddlers in a trench coat" stacked on top of each other. How do you know the bride and/or groom? *I met Adrian through mutual friends at church and then met Alli a few months later! What is a funny story with the bride and/or groom? *FIRST, at our friend's wedding, a group of us had some time to kill one day and ended up climbing trees and throwing acorns at each other for hours in a random park. Alli and I had a great vantage point targeting the men from above and I’d like to think we won that battle; SECOND, I was over at Adrian and Alli’s for a movie night once and right when Adrian sat down on their white couch (this is relevant), he threw his hands up and spilled red wine all over Alli’s face. She looked like she’d been murdered. I was laughing so hard I couldn’t get my phone out fast enough for a picture! What is something most people don't know about the bride and/or groom? *These people are pastry fiends!!! We have a dedicated group chat for trying cinnamon rolls in fun cities or testing recipes we’ve found, which usually means me talking to Adrian and Alli while they make everything (whoops). Fun Fact: I play volleyball, so I was thrilled when I found out Alli grew up playing beach doubles! Also - just ask me about my cross-stitch!
