De um entre amigos em plena pandemia de COVID a uma vida recheada de amor — a nossa história começou num timing muito engraçado, necessitou de alguma paciência e um pouco de magia. Paulo e Adriana cruzaram-se pela primeira vez em 2020, durante a estranha quietude dos anos de COVID, em casa de um amigo. Foi simples e natural — jogos, risos e uma conversa leve. Interacção muito simples, que apenas gerou conforto. Ainda assim, Paulo não conseguiu deixar de reparar na beleza encantadora de Adriana. Depois disso, passaram quase um ano sem se ver. Com o tempo, foram-se reencontrando em eventos da comunidade portuguesa. As interações mantinham-se amigáveis e descontraídas, mas havia sempre aquela atração não dita — olhares demorados e sorrisos que diziam mais do que palavras. Em julho de 2021, sem grandes planos e com muito tempo livre em Doha, Paulo decidiu enviar uma mensagem a Adriana. Combinaram um café casual no Hotel Al Wadi, acompanhados por alguns amigos. Entre conversas e gargalhadas, Adriana convidou Paulo para uma festa em casa de um amigo, em Lusail. No dia da festa, chegaram juntos — bem, quase juntos. Adriana chegou com algum atraso (como manda a tradição), enquanto Paulo já tinha abraçado o espírito da festa, a dançar e a aproveitar o ambiente. Quando Adriana chegou, a noite fluiu naturalmente: conversa, canto, dança e risos, com temas leves como signos do zodíaco. Paulo mostrou os seus dotes de dança, impressionando Adriana mais do que ele imaginava. Quando finalmente ficou sem energia, Adriana, sempre enfermeira, brincou e fez-lhe uma “mini RCP” para o reanimar — um momento que se tornou lendário entre os dois. Mais tarde nessa noite, numa rua tranquila, partilharam o primeiro beijo. Simples, inesperado e completamente mágico. A partir desse momento, tudo pareceu diferente. Descobriram o quanto tinham em comum e perceberam que a química entre eles era inegável — forte, profunda e verdadeira. Como em toda a verdadeira história de amor, o caminho não foi perfeito. Houve altos e baixos, momentos de incerteza e dúvidas sobre se os seus caminhos realmente se alinhariam. Mas, em cada desafio, escolheram crescer juntos. Aprenderam a ter paciência, resiliência, aceitação e a adaptar-se um ao outro com amor e respeito. Nos últimos dois anos, enfrentaram muitos desafios para manter um ambiente seguro no núcleo da sua família. Com o tempo, o laço entre eles tornou-se ainda mais forte. Hoje, Paulo e Adriana vivem felizes em Doha, no Qatar, partilhando uma vida plena e alegre com Leonor e Benedita, os seus três gatos adorados — Shadow, Duck e Mimi — e a Fely, a cuidadora querida da casa e uma parte muito importante da família. Esta é a nossa história — imperfeita, honesta e cheia de amor. E está apenas a começar. 💛

Paulo and Adriana first crossed paths in 2020, during the unusual stillness of the COVID years, at a friend’s house. It was simple and natural — games, laughter, and easy conversation. Nothing dramatic, just a comfortable first meeting. Still, Paulo couldn’t help but notice Adriana’s charming beauty. They hadn’t seen each other for almost a year. Over time, they kept running into each other at Portuguese community events. Their interactions remained friendly and relaxed, yet there was always that unspoken attraction — lingering glances and smiles that said more than words. In July 2021, with no plans and plenty of free time in Doha, Paulo decided to send Adriana a message. A casual coffee was arranged at Al Wadi Hotel, joined by a couple of friends. Between conversations and laughter, Adriana invited Paulo to a party at a friend’s house in Lusail. On the party day, they arrived together — well, almost together. Adriana was fashionably late, while Paulo had already embraced the party spirit, dancing and enjoying the atmosphere. When she arrived, the night unfolded effortlessly: chatting, singing, dancing, and laughing over lighthearted topics like zodiac signs. Paulo showed off his dance moves, impressing Adriana more than he knew. When he finally ran out of energy, Adriana, ever the nurse, jokingly performed a “mini CPR” to revive him — a moment that became legendary between them. Later that night, on a quiet street, they shared their first kiss. Simple, unexpected, and completely magical. From that moment on, everything felt different. They discovered how much they had in common and realized that their chemistry was undeniable — strong, deep, and real. Like every true love story, the journey wasn’t perfect. There were ups and downs, moments of uncertainty, and questions about whether their paths would truly align. But through every challenge, they chose to grow together. They learned patience, resilience, acceptance, and how to adapt to one another with love and respect. They have been going through a lot of challenges in the last 2 years to keep a safe environment in their family core. With time, their bond only grew stronger. Today, Paulo and Adriana live happily in Doha, Qatar, sharing a full and joyful life with Leonor and Benedita, their three beloved cats Shadow, Duck and Mimi, and Fely — their cherished caregiver and an important part of their family.
