We're getting married!

We originally met way back in 2013 when both of our families were on vacation in Hawaii. Adriana decided to take a surfing lesson and in the surfing group were Carlin and his dad. After that day and the connection we made, we spent some more time together the rest of our short Hawaiian vacation. Over the next several years, we kept in contact via Facebook. Then in 2018, Carlin traveled to San Diego for a conference and we decided to meet up and see each other in person once again. We had an instant connection but had no idea where this new relationship would take us! Carlin made the bold step and decided to move to southern California in early 2019 and then you all know what happened next...

Carlin was in cahoots with Adriana's best friend Jenell, who made sure she had her nails done and who made sure there were photos taken of the special moment. Jenell had a romantic picnic set up on the beach by our home in Seal Beach. Adriana had just woken up in the afternoon after a long night of work, and Carlin suggested a walk on the beach. He seemed a little hurried and more excited than usual for a walk on the beach, but Adriana was too tired to think anything of it. She realized something was up when they were walking toward the sand dunes and there was a basket awaiting their arrival. She plopped down on the blanket, ready to examine the delicious snacks that were packed in the basket, when Carlin asked her to stand back up and he knelt down to one knee. Adriana obviously said 'yes', with happy tears coming from her eyes, and Jenell popped out from behind the sand dunes and took more pictures of the newly engaged couple.
