Five years ago, we had only met in passing at a CrossFit gym in Houston. It just so happened that one of Adriana's teammates was injured and unable to compete in an upcoming competition. They needed to find someone in a hurry and Derek was asked to join. The competition went miserably but it was nothing that a parting shot of tequila and few good laughs couldn't cure. Fast forward 5 years, our Crossfit days are over but the happiness and tequila continues on.
