Question

So, what's actually going down the day you get married?

Answer

We're keeping it informal. There is no schedule of events, public ceremony, or sit-down meal. On the morning of the 22nd we'll be getting married in the San Francisco Botanical Garden with just immediate family. Meanwhile, everyone else will arrive at Lake Temescal Picnic Area by 12:30, where we've reserved an area with picnic tables to sit, relax, snack, and drink. Once we're married, we'll meet everyone in the park around 1. There will be tacos, and fun times will be had by all.

Question

What's the Picnic Area like?

Answer

You pull into a lot and the area we've reserved is right off the lot, up a very short grassy incline, within view. There's a kid's playground to the right if you're in the lot facing the picnic area. Bathrooms are a short walk to the left and a beautiful view of the lake is just past that. It's a sunny area, so we'll provide some shade but be prepared! There are a lot of picnic tables available for seating or you can enjoy the grassy area next to the picnic space - we'll have blankets for you to sit on picnic-style, too!

Question

What should I bring?

Answer

There's plenty of sunny grassy space for us to spread out on, and we'll have a pile of blankets to sit on - but bring a camp chair if you want! There are picnic tables as well, so there will be seating available. It's also super sunny so bring sunblock, hats, sunglasses, etc. Otherwise, we're providing the food and beverage so just come say hi!

Question

What's the Weather going to be like?

Answer

It's usually quite pleasant! Sunny and hot in the sun, cooler in the shade, and dry. It's usually much cooler at night, so always bring a layer! Historically in the area this time of year it's in the low to mid 70's during the day, and mid-50's at night.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

No gifts, please. If you're so inclined please take anything you would have put towards our registry and donate it to the Yosemite Conservancy at https://yosemite.org/.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No, but try and look nice for us :)

For all the days along the way
