It all started with a cat, Barley. Nick was cat-sitting for a good friend of his, JuanCa, who happens to be married to my best friend, Elke. I was the usual cat-sitter, but *fortunately* could not cat-sit this go-around. This completely worked out in my favor because I so generously checked in on Nick to make sure everything was going well. Okay, really I just wanted to talk to this super cute guy that I met back in May at a CrossFit competition... which, originally, he did not remember meeting me there. Don't worry, he remembers how important that day was now. Ha! We instantly connected and pretty quickly fell in love. Since July 5th of 2018, we have not stopped talking, pursuing, dating, loving, and praying with each other. It is such a blessing to see what God has blessed us with in this amount of time! We cannot wait to see what the future holds for us in our marriage.

This was the day that we were to celebrate 9 months of dating. Nick told me that he would plan everything out for that evening because I had to work all day. Right after work, Nick told me to meet him at one of our favorite coffee shops so that we could read our Bibles together. When I got there, I didn't see him anywhere! That's when Neil, the manager, called me over and told me he had some things for me. He handed me my favorite coffee and a letter with a fancy wax seal with the letter A on it. After opening the letter and crying my way through to the end where Nick requested me to go to the next room, I knew that it was happening! I walked into a room that was dimly lit with lights strung throughout, a custom made sign (by the one and only Nicholas Adolphsen) with my future last name, one of our songs playing in the background, and Nick standing there all dressed up just waiting for me. Some sweet words were exchanged before he got down on one knee to ask me the big question. I very tearfully and happily answered "Yes!" He had also invited our closest friends (who were able to make it) to dinner to celebrate with us afterwards. It was honestly the most perfect day. And now we get to spend the rest of our days with each other! We are so incredibly excited to have you celebrate this very special day with us!
