As most people seem to meet these days, we met on a blind friend date that was set up by Adina's parents and Tyler's aunt and uncle, who were neighbors in Illinois back in the early '90s. We met for lunch, where Adina shared way too many intimate details about her life and Tyler was impressed by Adina's insistence on ordering an appetizer AND a dessert. Intrigued by how weird Tyler was and the insightful questions he asked, Adina asked him on a whim to join her on the hike she was planning to go on. Tyler eagerly agreed to join, blowing off several afternoon meetings at work. A few hangouts later, Tyler boldly asked whether the friend-dates were actually date-dates, to which Adina replied "yes," and from there, our love blossomed into the beautiful flower it is today.
