Kimia's: We've known each other since Sunday school, but didn't really think of each other until reunited years later at a gathering our parents forced us to attend. It was that night when I realized this might be the start of a journey I was long-awaiting for. 3 days later, I went on a month-long vacation in Iran, 9.5 hours ahead in time zone. How we kept communication was another story. Once I returned, I dodged his date requests for a month until I built up the courage to go on a date with such a hunk! What an eventful first date it was - I was so nervous that I spilled crawfish on my new top! How is he going to stay interested now?! Well, 7 dates later and playing "hard to get", it worked! Now a COUPLE in 2015, we attended undergrad together, and encouraged each other to fulfill our careers. 5.5 yrs later, after an awkward cultural proposal between parents, another formal American proposal, and a wedding during an unforeseeable time, I get to finally marry the man of my dreams! Adib's: Typical to the start of any love story told by the guys perspective, I’ll begin my story by describing my first impression of Kimia, which was… “DANG THIS GIRL IS BEAUTIFUL”, followed by an immediate thought of “too bad she’s out of my league." Luckily, with the BLESSING of a text from her cousin, I came to realize she shared a similar interest (let’s go!!). Knowing the severity of the moment, I knew I had to capitalize on the golden opportunity. I approached her and flexed my arms for attention and it is safe to say - she was impressed! If you ask me, that’s totally how the story unfolded; but if you ask her, you'll come to find out she was the more upfront and talkative person the entire night, and I was the goober who unknowingly asked for her number in front of her DAD! The night passes and I cannot get her off my mind. We text for the next two months before she finally runs out of excuses to not go on a date. The rest is history - now I'm marrying the most beautiful girl.
