South of San Luis Obispo, Avila Beach is a great place if you're wanting a beach day. The small town has some shops, restaurants, a golf course, and some local hikes (Bob Jones bike trail and Avila Ridge)
A cute ocean town where you can see Morro Rock, watch surfers, go kayaking, and view some otters. Hike Black Hill or walk along the ocean. This area is usually breezy so bring a sweater. Lots of cute trinket/antique stores.
This is the area where the wedding venue is located. Lots of restaurants and wineries. Visit Tin City for food and drinks - we love Barrelhouse for its fun outdoor beer garden. Castoro Winery is a great spot too. There are so many options in this area so I encourage you to just do a google search and try things out. Downtown Paso and Atascadero have plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants.
San Luis Obispo is the heart of this area, also known as SLO. Downtown SLO is adorable and if you're here on a Thursday you should definitely go to the weekly farmer's market. There's tons of shopping on Higuera St. in downtown SLO. Some of our favorite places are: Scout Coffee, Madonna Inn for amazing vibes and cakes, and Petra. Firestone is a classic BBQ restaurant that often has lines out the door. There are also really great hikes here - Cerro San Luis, Bishops Peak, Felsman Loop, Johnson Ranch Trail, and Islay Hill. Los Osos, CA is also a great little town (this is where we live!) There are beautiful ocean views at Montana de Oro State Park. High St. Deli is a great sandwich spot (there's one in SLO too). You can often find us at Beerwood or the Olde Alehouse.
