Her perspective… It was a girl’s night out. Actually a reluctant one as I did not feel like going out. But little did I know that God had other plans. As much as I wasn’t feeling this particular bar vibe, my bladder was convincing me otherwise. Thank you to my friend Cherry who insisted we go into the nearest bar and even paid the cover charge to use the facility… Lord knows I didn’t want to. As I made my way to the restroom, someone tapped me on my arm, l looked back and smiled at him, but I was on a mission. I told him we could talk if he was still there when I got back. Little did I know that our conversation would stretch into the late hours with shared laughs and a deeper connection. It must have been God! His perspective… I was about to leave the crowded bar when I spotted a beautiful, confident woman walking in, and I tried to get her attention. However, she was focused on something else, and I knew I had to wait and chat with her. What started with “are you Nigerian?” turned into hours of talking, forgetting the music and time, and realizing I didn’t really want the night to end. Before we knew it, the night had flown by, and we were left feeling like we'd known each other forever and a feeling that this was something worth holding onto. It was definitely God orchestrated. That bar wasn’t just where we met—it was where two lives crossed paths at exactly the right moment. Love can be full of surprises, and sometimes it shows up in the most unexpected places. It can catch you off guard in a crowded bar, and before you know it, you've found someone special, a soul mate ordained by God. And that's exactly what happened to us.
