Although I had a suspicion, he completely took my breath away as he surprised me at UC Irvine! He led me up to a secluded garden in the middle of Aldrich Park (on the campus of UC Irvine where we first met). I followed a trail of rose petals as we walked into the clearing where linking hearts made of rose petals laid. I was so surprised that it took me a second to register that I was also hearing my favorite song, Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) by Green Day, being played on the cello by his best friend, Seth, who had practiced it for months and learned it special for this occasion. His wife, and Nathaniel's cousin, Vardina was our personal photographer for the day as I later found out who was also a big part of this planning/preparation process. I saw her snapping photos of me taking this whole scene in, as it all came together for me. Of course, he asked the question, and I said yes. Afterwards, he gave me a bouquet of roses and we walked around the park for our photoshoot. After this, he had even more planned for me! We met up with my family and friends at a nearby restaurant for lunch, and following this celebration was yet another proposal party with even more friends and family in LA! His family joined in on the festivities and we all celebrated late into the night. It was such a fairytale dream come true. Not to mention all the work that his family, especially his sister Sabrina and his mother, put into the preparations for the proposal party in LA. There were even printed pictures of us from earlier that same day decorating the walls! What a day to remember, and the start of a beautiful new beginning...
