Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We have but one plea. Please keep our ceremony camera-free. The bride and groom request the joyful sight of your smiles, without the distraction of electronic devices. We’ve asked a professional photographer to capture this special moment so that you can sit back, relax and enjoy it with us. Our beautiful images will be available after the wedding. Though our I Do’s are unplugged, our reception is not. Once our vows are exchanged, you’re free to take a shot!

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! However, if you cannot find a babysitter please let us know so we can plan accordingly.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, it is just you.

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

We have listed the help of RVA on Wheels trolley to transport guests to and from the venue from the Holiday Inn Brandermill. Anyone is welcome to ride whether staying at the hotel or not. Please check with hotel about parking. Pickup for the trolley is at 4pm.

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Garden Party/Cocktail, please. But we want you to feel comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose. *No jeans please*

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

YES! Domestic beer and wine will be served in addition to a signature drink. No flasks. Please remember to bring cash to tip the bar tenders!
