Adelyn Reed and Nathan Hildebrandt met on a dating app called Upward in February of 2022. They were both looking for a meaningful connection and were pleasantly surprised by how natural it felt once they started talking. Although Nathan felt confident that there was potential after their first FaceTime call, it took meeting in person for Adelyn to feel "The Spark". They had their first date at a park in Mcminnville, Oregon and hit it off right away. They enjoyed each other's company and had a lot in common, so they decided to see each other again. The only problem was that they lived about three hours apart, so they had to plan their visits carefully. Despite the distance, and snowy weather, they made it work and even took turns driving to see each other. They enjoyed exploring new places and trying new activities together, and their relationship only grew stronger over time. In November of 2022, Nathan proposed to Adelyn at Dillon Falls in Bend, Oregon. Adelyn said yes and they have been happily engaged ever since. While it hasn't always been easy living 3 hours apart, Adelyn and Nathan are grateful to have found each other and are excited to spend the rest of their lives together. They can now confirm that yes, dating apps do work.
