Jake and Hannah went to high school together, but their paths never really crossed. The only reason Hannah knew who Jake was happened to be a rather unforgettable incident—Jake had accidentally hit his truck into a teacher's car in Lomira. It was the talk of the school for a while, but their interactions were limited to that moment. It all started at CC's Place in Wayne, Wisconsin. Jake and Hannah happened to run into each other one evening, and despite the years that had passed, something clicked between them right away. Their personalities matched perfectly, and there was an instant connection. But as life would have it, the timing wasn’t quite right. Jake was tied to his family's farm, while Hannah was still away at college. Time passed, and the two lived their separate lives.
