Downtown Bismarck favorites walking distance from the Radisson Hotel: Anima Cucina serves amazing coffee and Italian delicacies. Brick Oven Bakery offers coffee and pastries, and is also a good spot for breakfast or lunch. Blarney’s pub on Main Ave is fun and family friendly. Peacock Alley, a historic bar and grill open since 1933, is the oldest restaurant in North Dakota. You will also find gift shops, boutiques, and art galleries.
The Heritage Museum is right on the capitol grounds and is free. Enjoy the elaborate exhibit halls showcasing Native American artifacts, inventions, and gigantic whole fossils of dinosaurs and sea creatures. There is a cafeteria and nifty gift shop on site.
Bismarck boasts six golf courses and very nice parks for hiking and playgrounds. Check out McDowell Dam and Sibley State Park.
