Both of their families attended the Bob Wills Concert at the historic Constantine Theatre in downtown Pawhuska. The families were seated right next to each other. Early in the evening, Adele’s Aunt Shelley confidently said, “We’ll find you someone tonight!” Adele was certain there was very little chance of that, given the demographic of Bob Wills music is a couple generations above them. Turns out, Shelley was seated next to Wyatt’s brother, Joel. If you know Shelley and Joel, you know they can strike up a conversation with anyone. By intermission, thanks to a very intentional aunt-brother introduction, They officially met. What followed were exchanged smiles, lingering glances, and the kind of feeling you don’t forget! After the concert, Wyatt asked Shelley for Adele’s last name, looked her up, and minutes after, met for an ice cream date. Seven days later, started dating - and the rest was history. Two years later, Wyatt proposed in the very same theatre where they first met, bringing their story beautifully full circle.
